Production Assistant - Circa £32,500

ENGIE are recruiting for a Production Assistant to work within the Day Maintenance Team at Ffestiniog Power Station (Gwynedd LL41 3TP). This is a permanent full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Job Overview

As part of the Production Team, your main responsibilities will be to assist the maintenance team in carrying out their duties and perform routine manual tasks associated with craft activities, minor repairs and basic use of workshop power equipment. They will also be responsible for housekeeping tasks.

First Hydro Company operates to a very high standard of Health, Safety and Environmental management; the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a high competency level in these areas. Candidates for all roles should demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a flexible team, being self-motivated and providing commitment towards the company and its continued success

No formal qualifications are required for this position, however it is essential that the successful candidate should be able to drive site vehicles, and be developed into a crane operator, a fork lift truck driver and preferably have attained IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalent

The successful applicants should be flexible, self-motivated, a good team worker. They should also have knowledge of current EH&S legislation and practices; basic rigging and lifting operations; operating basic workshop machinery and IT systems sufficient to operate the computerised maintenance management system.

Control & Instrumentation Engineer

First Hydro Company, part of the ENGIE group is embarking on an exciting period of major refurbishment at both our power stations, as a result have opportunity for a C&I Engineer based at Dinorwig Power Station to join our team of skilled engineers.

IT Engineer

Up to £60,000 plus bonus, plus benefits

First Hydro Company, part of the ENGIE group, are recruiting an IT Engineer to be based at Dinorwig Power Station, Llanberis, North Wales. We are looking to evolve the onsite IT team to support the operations of the business through and beyond the ongoing major plant refurbishment of Ffestiniog and Dinorwig Pumped Storage Hydro Power Stations.

The primary activity of this role is to support the IT systems relating to the Plant Operations, Engineering and Maintenance and Business Support functions. This will span both the Industrial Control System of the plants and line of business Enterprise Applications. Activities to include application administration, maintenance, some application development, operational and end user support.

As part of a highly dynamic IT team, you will be expected to develop your skills in varying degrees across the whole breadth of the IT and Operational Technology landscape at these two remarkable Power Stations.
